Why is HoReCa tableware different from regular household tableware?
In the world of professional tableware, the quality standard is radically different from that of ordinary tableware. HoReCa-grade porcelain is made from vitrified clay fired at high temperatures (1,380–1,400 °C) — its water absorption rate does not exceed 0.5% (according to the BS 4034 standard). This means that the tableware is 3–4 times thicker and denser than household porcelain, and its brown enamel is fired in such a way that its hardness exceeds that of a stainless steel fork.

The toughened (tempered) glass that LAV manufactures is 4–5 times stronger than regular glass, withstands thermal shocks of ~150 °C, and when broken, shatters into small, non-sharp shards — crucial for safety in busy bars and kitchens.

GÜRAL Porselen is one of the world’s largest porcelain manufacturers – with a production area of ​​275,000 m² and exports to 60+ countries around the world . The brand is a sponsor of the Bocuse d’Or World Culinary Final – this says everything about its reputation in the world of gastronomy.

Porcelain technology: GÜRAL products are made from dense porcelain with a high kaolin content, vitrified at 1,400 °C with a feldspar glaze — this creates a durable and long-lasting surface that maintains its appearance for years, even in busy restaurant conditions.

PORLAND is the first porcelain manufacturer in Turkey to receive the TSE 10850 certificate and one of the few to hold the BS 4034 British Hotelware Standard.

LAV is one of the world’s largest glassware manufacturers — producing ~2 million pieces daily and exporting to 130–140 countries . The brand operates within the Gürok Group and is distinguished by its own “Technopark” R&D center — LAV is one of only ~3 glass factories in the world that develops its own production technology.

Base material — soda-lime glass
